Sneaky names for MSG. Check your food labels!

MSG goes by many, many names…

monosodium glutamate, maltodextrin, sodium caseinate, autolyzed yeast, autolyzed vegetable protein, hydrolyzed vegetable protein, yeast extract and even citric acid, to name a few.

MSG in all of its forms is considered a neuro-toxin because it has been shown to damage nerve cells by overexciting them to the point of cell death. MSG is also a chemoinducer of obesity, type II diabetes and metabolic syndrome.

One must make it a practice to always read the nutritional facts, and ingredients labels, when purchasing their food products in the market place. Most of our competitors have not been thinking of the health risks they impose on the consumer. If you read their ingredients labels, you will notice that many add MSG (monosodium glutamate) which is a reported cancer-causing agent. These same manufactures also realized that the consumer is getting educated about this harmful drug so they now deceive unsuspecting customers by using a different names. You’re Still Eating MSG!

Many people are still eating
monosodium glutamate (MSG)
and don’t even know it!

It has been said;

“The children of today
are the future of tomorrow”

yet, there are so many food companies, especially in the Hispanic food industry, who are manufacturing products with ingredients which will either constipate them, raise their blood pressure, and/or, even kill them.

Some children have even been diagnosed with ADHD (Attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder) which is a chronic condition including attention difficulty, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness, however, in reality many of these children have been misdiagnosed.

Listen to the above video and you will realize that, in some cases, it’s the chemical MSG (mono sodium glutamate), which was added to their foods, that mimics ADHD.

MSG is a Neurotoxin and will KILL YOU!

Many foods have MSG

 This chemical
MonoSodium Glutamate,
kills your neurons – nerve cells!

Please listen to this video.

MSG (MonoSodium Glutamate) is a reported cancer-causing agent. This ingredient stimulates brain cell activity and tricks the brain to think the food you are eating tastes good. In reality, it does NOTHING to the taste of the food but definitely harms you healthwise.

One must make it a practice to always read the nutritional facts, and ingredients labels, when purchasing their food products in the market place. Most of our competitors have not been thinking of the health risks they impose on the consumer just as long as they increase their bottom line. These same manufactures also realized that the consumer is getting educated about this harmful drug so they now deceive unsuspecting customers by using a different name for MSG.>>>>>[To learn more on how to avoid hidden MSG in the health food aisle, click here!]

Who is Marin de La Isla Verde?

Marín de La Isla Verde, is a Hispanic food manufacturer established in May, 2009 by Paul G. Marín Sr.

He chose “Marín” as the branding logo name, not only because it is his last name, but because of the respect that name elicits in the Puerto Rican Community. Paul is 2nd cousin to Luis Muñoz Marín, who was the 1st Governor of Puerto Rico.

Just as his name is respected and valued in the Puerto Rican community, so their products are also held in high regard among their committed and faithful customers.

We established this blog not only to keep you abreast of the many new additions & changes in our company, but to keep you updated with the latest news concerning the health risks of many products in the Hispanic food market, which you can share with your family and friends.  Also, feel free to post your views, favorite recipes, or comments on any of our posts.

It was Henry Ford who stated; “Quality means doing it right when no one is looking.” Food quality has been a growing concern of ours since the inception of Marín de La Isla Verde, LLC. Our personal interaction with many friends, family and people in general, especially in the Hispanic community, have indicated that they are very concerned with their health and what they are allowing in their daily diet. MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamate), and the amount of salt being added to Spanish condiments, has been one of their biggest issues. This is the reason why we decided NEVER to use MSG and to try and use no salt, or at the minimum, very little salt, when needed.

We have also noticed that our competitors have been using dehydrated ingredients in order to maximize profit. Our products are made with the freshest products of the highest grade. As we have stated on “Our Purpose” link on our website, “Even though with any business making a profit is significant, we feel that YOUR HEALTH is more valuable! Revealing to you that we truly care is very gratifying. Your satisfaction is extremely important and should never be compromised to increase our bottom line!”

MDLIV came into being to give Hispanic consumers a healthier choice of products. As many of you know, this began with Paul and his family trade-secret recipe for premium sofrito, Mi Sofrito Puro. We have other products on the horizon that are healthier versions of what is currently on the market. There is no need for us to imitate the garbage that some other companies sell, only to try to change our reputation later, with “New and Improved” this or that! We always start with what is healthy!

We are also committed to R&D (Research & Development) to come out with new products, that no one else sells, but that test great in our trials. At this point, there are at least 10 exciting products, just waiting for the finishing touches before they touch your tastebuds. And remember, all the products will be pure and natural, and will “Do No Harm – From the Start!”

This is why they call Puerto Rico…

“The Island of Enchantment”

“La isla del Encanto”

It is almost impossible to describe the “Island of Enchantment” “La isla del Encanto” – Puerto Rico using just words. As the saying goes, “A picture [in this case a video] is worth a thousand words!” I am sure you will agree that Puerto Rico is an enchanting looking island, although you are just looking at a video.

I hope you enjoy it. Please leave a comment if you wish.

Website Completed

Our ”GRAND LAUNCHING” was going to be on October 1, 2017, however, we were ahead of schedule and decided to launch on September 23, 2017. We have completed the re-designing of our entire website, with the exception of our e-Commerce portals which will not be ready and fully functional until mid to late 2018. This is the most intricate part of our website, which needs to be very secure and properly designed, therefore it will take longer to implement.

The last section we completed is The Staff page. Here, you will see the type of individuals we desire to hire. We are accepting resumé, so don’t delay.

Our Chef’s Corner page is for those who love to eat Latin Food. Paul Marin, our founder, has decided to share his recipes with you. These are just some of his signature dishes, which many of his family and friends love. For your convenience, you can print these 6″ x 4″ recipe cards FREE of charge, just download and/or print as many as you would like.

Besides eating I also have not met a Latino yet who doesn’t like Latin music so don’t forget to visit Our Heritage link. For your listening & viewing pleasure, we have added many “Hispanic Music Videos,” performed by well-known Latino Recording Artists. Feel free to stay a while and reminisce.

Under the leadership of our co-founders, Paul G. Marín Sr. and Bernard Sawyer, our corporate team, have been hard at work streamlining the entire company. From redesigning this website, to adding our Dried Herbs, Spices, and Blends product line, we are excited about creating the best Latino Foods company in the world.

Like our motto states:

“¡Sólo cuándo creía que no podía ser mejor!”
